Title: Computer Trainer

 

Reports to:

 

Supervisor, Workshop Programs

Supervises:

 

There are no direct reports to this position

Purpose:

 

 

 

To collaborate in the development of and to deliver training programs for the Corporate Partner.
Current Position: Open

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Development

  • Working with subject matter experts, develops training modules at levels appropriate to audience.
  • Works with Internet designer (Pathlore) to integrate subject matter for computer and Internet training templates.
  • Develops and writes story boards for approval by subject matter experts.
  • Modifies graphics for maximum eye appeal and to meet client needs.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop post-training tests.
  • Participates in meetings for new projects to determine future training needs and opportunities.

 

Training

  • Guides participants through computer-led training programs.
  • Training may be tutorial or class.
  • Administers and evaluates post-training tests.
  • Distributes program evaluations to participants; returns them to CCFL for compilation.

 

Scheduling and Materials Management

  • Works with development staff to determine training schedules.
  • Ensures that training materials are up-to-date.

 

Communications:

  • Participates in meetings with internal customers (e.g. representatives from Finance, Safety & Health, and Procurement departments) through reports, demonstrations and other presentations as needed.
  • Maintains contact with CCFL management as needed.

 

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned, or proactively as needed to meet the goals of the organization.

 

 

Job Specifications

Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of: adult learning styles; techniques for training adults; story-boarding techniques; PeopleSoft applications. Familiarity with Internet and basics of HTML.
  • Interviewing skills for needs assessment in developing training modules.
  • Communications: interpersonal skills; group presentation skills; collaborative and team skills.
  • Creative and analytical skills.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for participating in the design and development of computer-based training.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Produce assigned project deliverable in a timely manner (e.g., analysis, design, development, quality assurance, implementation), individually or as part of a team.
  2. Communicate with designated Project Manager and other project team members as needed to assure client satisfaction.
  3. Complete necessary project time tracking and status reports; submit in a timely manner.
