Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood
Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood is a new website devoted to advocacy for people of color to ask questions, claim their space, trust their bodies and tell their own stories to take control of their own health and well-being.
The site compels users to Support Black Moms by: locating the best maternity care; advocate for prenatal visits, during & after the birth; helping Moms reduce stress during pregnancy & after; ACTT and give to Safe Motherhood to help improve their health & the baby’s health. The site contains 4 videos and an extensive glossary of terms. A notable feature is a Workshop Curriculum for use by the Black Community to increase knowledge, skills and confidence in vetting maternity services and obtaining person centered prenatal, birth and postpartum care.
